adventures: Secret Destination #5

After leaving The Eden Project, Rhinoa took us to climb Haytor.

Rhinoa's uncle told us fun stories about the tor. He told us that the Victorians used to climb it and conjured up images of bustled women making their way to the top. There are steps that have been carved into the rock face to aid their climbs. At the top, engravings can be found with initials and the year, proving the impulse to mark "I was here" is a seeming timeless one.

Up next: day three, secret destinations #6 and #7.
