3. Dust off the piano daily.
4. Do, gleefully.
5. Yoga is a secret source of energy.

After our jam-packed schedule our first three days, we took it
easy once we hit Scotland. I developed a cold by our last night in
England, so it was nice to be able to catch up on some sleep. We did a
LOT of walking. We walked all
over the city just soaking it all in. It was really fun and relaxing. I
took a lot of pictures and couldn’t get over the beautiful

That was the best part.

Baby Families + Traditions

It
occurs to me as Christmas nears how much more at peace I am about it this year. Creating our own baby families wreaks a special
kind of havoc on those pesky days known as the holidays. Navigating the
traditions of multiple
families is slightly harrowing and very emotional, especially when you
decide to move away from your own family, thereby decreasing the chance
of seeing them.

While traveling, I was really struck by the way Rhinoa's aunt and uncle lived. They had a lovely, lush, little garden in their front and side yard. J made her own jams and her husband baked bread. I am always a little bit in awe of people who take the time and effort to do things for themselves. I definitely benefited from it during my stay. I woke up this morning, going about my usual Saturday business, tidying, writing, and catching up on blog reading. I was completely unprepared for the wake up call that Lauren would give me as I caught up on her posting this week. She wrote about violence against women, which is a cause near my heart, and shared some horrific stories that she had recently read. Yes, I do have more travel stories up my sleeve.
However, I’d like to share a cooking story inspired by my trip. I
haven’t even gotten started on all the great food we ate. So let me
share a tidbit.

Week 13

So
the summer clearing officially concluded at the autumn equinox (Sept
23). Week 13 I was on track to hit 70 classes, which would win me a
free one month pass, but only if I went to three classes a day and then
five classes on Saturday, three on Sunday and then twice a day the
following week every day until the end of the challenge.

Um,
yeah. I didn’t do that. The final Harry Potter movie has finally arrived!!! I am such a diehard fan I went to Texas to be with my fellow diehard fan friends. We attended the midnight movie in full regalia and had loads of fun doing it. After the movie, we had a slumber party at a hotel. We stayed up discussing the movie, giving our opinions on what was awesome, what was not so awesome, the parts we loved, the things

Summer Clearing: Week 5

In May I signed up for the MB Spring Dream Lab, but am only just now working through the lessons. The focus of the Dream Lab is all about clearings. Clearings in your physical space, clearings in your spirit. I was drawn to it because it felt like a great way to welcome spring and usher in my third decade. However, May was quite hectic, thus I am welcoming summer with clearings.

Last summer I read an article on Get Rich Slowly that really struck home for me. The author spoke about how when he had plenty of time but a pile of debt, he used his free time to earn more cash (namely, his blog) and now that he has created financial security, he has no time. He spoke about his efforts to strike a balance, using Bob Clyatt's Big Rocks theory as his model.
